Who should attend?
This hands-on interactive workshop has been created especially for Primary Care professionals. It is suitable as an introduction for new practice nurses and also as a refresher course for GPs and experienced practice nurses.

What will the course cover?

This workshop covers
•    Patient preparation
•    Placement of monitoring electrodes
•    Limb leads and chest leads
•    The normal 12 lead ECG
•    An introduction to ECG Analysis and Interpretation

Why attend / What will be the benefits to you?
After this workshop all attendees should understand the principles of electrocardiography and its value as an assessment tool as well as being equipped with the skills and knowledge to accurately record a 12 lead ECG.

Where is the course?

Who is the Presenter?
The workshop will be presented by Charles Bloe BSc (Edin) RN NDN ITU cert. Since graduating in 1984 Charles has spent his clinical career in a number of senior nursing positions in critical care settings, predominantly cardiac care. He is currently Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Lead for Charles Bloe Training Ltd, providing onsite and online clinical training to healthcare professionals. He currently combines this role with his post as Clinical Ward Manager for Cardiac Care at NHS Highland.

An Bord Altranais has granted Category 1 approval (valid for one year) for this course.
